APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION
AMSOIL GH Greases in grades #1 and #2 are recommended for use in manual or automatic lubricating systems. NLGI #1 (GHB) greases have better mobility and are the preferred choice for colder applications, for automatic lubrication systems with long pumping runs, and for gear box applications (where recommended by manufacturer). NLGI #2 (GHD) is the preferred choice for medium to high ambient temperatures, sleeve type bushings, high shock loading environments, high water environments, and is the primary choice for wheel bearings.The correct consistency grade of AMSOIL Heavy Duty EP Grease is recommended for use in heavy and light duty applications found in manufacturing plants, automotive applications, agricultural equipment and construction equipment. These include, but are not limited to, roller bearings, plain bearings, gears, bushings, wheel bearings, chassis lubrication, universal joints, ball joints, tie-rod ends, steering knuckles, and heavily loaded pivot pins on mining and off road equipment such as power shovels, draglines, wheel and back hoe loaders, excavators and bulldozers. AMSOIL Heavy Duty EP Greases are suitable for use up to 325º F. When operating at elevated temperatures, frequent regreasing may be required.

AMSOIL Heavy Duty EP Greases are compatible with many other types of grease. However, it is recommended that when changing greases, the equipment be cleaned of the old grease when possible or flushed with a liberal amount of AMSOIL Heavy Duty EP Grease while the mechanism is in operation. Closely monitor the system for any inconsistencies. Any grease compatibility questions should be referred to your AMSOIL representative or AMSOIL INC.

APPLICATION MAINTENANCE
Maintaining a clean work environment is important when equipment greasing is performed. Wipe grease fittings clean prior to injecting grease to prevent contaminant ingestion. Maintain bearing housings one-third to one-half full of grease. Do not over-grease as excessive heat buildup can result. Supplement standard grease maintenance by periodically cleaning and packing housings with fresh grease on an established maintenance schedule.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease (GWR) is an extreme-pressure, multipurpose grease formulated specially for wet-duty performance. Its water washout and sprayoff resistance are ideal for wheel bearings of vehicles and trailers frequently exposed to water, mud, snow or ice. It is also excellent for use in plants, such as paper mills, in which machinery undergoes frequent or prolonged exposure to water.      Water Washout and Sprayoff Protection AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease derives its superior wet-duty performance from its peerless cohesiveness and adhesiveness. It holds together when exposed to water and clings tenaciously to metal surfaces when wet. Components remain protected during prolonged exposure to standing water or exposure to pressurized water. Rust and Corrosion Protection AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Lithium Complex Grease protects metal surfaces from rust and corrosion, both of which may be hastened or worsened by frequent or prolonged water contact. It seals metal surfaces against rust and chemically fights corrosion. High and Low Temperature Performance AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease effectively reduces friction, helping high-speed components run cooler.
